Syöjätär was formed in early 2022 in Finland. The band is a single-member project, with all instruments being handled by Nylkijä.
The first six song album, "Pyhät puut" was ushered out in July of 2022.

Syöjätär draws heavy inspiration from Finnish folk lore, black metal, post-rock and prog.
